That was the day the world changed…the day the Rugosomyces carneus  took over and destroyed 65% of the human population. These horrible fungi started out as a few simple caps until the day they started sprouting in turnips all around the world. No turnip was safe from the wrath of the Rugosomyces carmeus which was growing at a never before seen rapid pace. The first person to become infected was the mayor of Turnipville, Mayor Montgomery. He started his day off very nicely with a bowl of milk and diced turnips when the cursed fungi appeared in his breakfast bowl. He was enjoying his meal when he tasted a slimey tart potato with a hint of lime interrupting his morning. He spit the bite back into the bowl and discovered the ‘shrooms. He simultaneously noticed a red spot on the back of his hands and gently rubbed at them. His skin peeled back like butter to the roughness of his uncut nails revealing smooth and spotted pink sin underneath. His thinning hair fell out and was replaced with mushroom caps. He tried getting to the phone but he never made it there in time. He was turned into a giant cluster of Rugosomyces carmeus before he even made it past the kitchen doorway.
Many others in the town of Turnipville tried escaping the mushrooms but their fate was sealed anytime they ate. Nothing was spared from the wrath of the pink mushrooms known as the Rugosomyces carmeus. Families were all quickly turned into mushroom clusters by the second and no one escaped. The escalating progression and transmission of the ‘shrooms eventually spread past town and state lines. After it had claimed over half of America, it progressed through multiple countries and continents until the horrible plant took over the entire world including marine life.

Still Life Writing

The unity in these photos shows through the organized appearances. The color schemes and theme also pull this together such as the almost rustic illusion. The way the photographers took these at a very common viewpoint resulting in a simple unoriginal appearance adding to their charm and simplicity which I find highly attractive  and captivating in photos.

The lighting cannot be controlled in the outdoor portraits but can be changed and manipulated as desired in the studio portraits. However, they are similar due to the way the photographers typically light the subjects’ face or other main focus in both photos. The angles are also usually similar because they angle the subject slightly to the side or directly in front of the camera.

Conceptual Self Portraits

My first picture represents my sudden and constant change in moods because sometimes I can be bright and cheerful and other times I am dark and kind of mean. My second picture is nice and simple because I like things to be that way and I can also be a bit simple minded. My third picture shows how quickly and easily my personality can change. And my fourth picture represents how different and weird I can be compared to many others.

Communication in Photography

I think this photo shows the beauty of reaching the top or your goals symbolically. The gorgeous colors and scenery can possibly represent the goal or whatever is desired to achieve. The way the people shown in this photo are helping each other and provide stability to each other show how far a little help and friendship can go. The way the people at the top are helping the people below them before celebrating themselves shows great selflessness and thought for others. I also appreciate the way the people are off to the side so you can appreciate their accomplishments.
